Hi, I’m Sophia (she/they). I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in Louisiana. Additionally, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans. I am working under the supervision of Stacie Cooke Rodriguez, LPC-S, NCC, who is a fully licensed, board-approved supervisor. I will be working under her supervision at Bloom Collective Healing until I complete my 3,000 clinical hours required by the LPC Board.

Sophia Bologna, MS, PLPC, NCC

I am a Baton Rouge native who found my home in New Orleans while pursuing my education and clinical training. I completed my internship at the New Orleans Family Justice Center, working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault working on complex trauma, emotional regulation, grief, and substance use. I created and facilitated a group for women with medical trauma and chronic illnesses+pain titled Caring for Chronic Conditions. I completed additional trainings on working with diverse populations, chronic illnesses+pain, and complex trauma. Additionally, I have published research on sex work affirmative therapy.

I’ve presented at multiple professional conferences, including the 2025 Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA) Conference and the 2026 Chronic Illness Therapist Conference hosted by Dr. Victoria Rodriguez, LPC and Destiny Davis, LPC. My presentation, A Counselor’s Guide to Getting Kinky with Chronic Conditions, focused on chronic illnesses+pain and kink-affirming sex therapy for chronically ill and disabled clients.

As someone who lives with a dynamic disability, I bring both personal understanding and professional training to my work with clients.
